Name: Charlamagne Hart, pronounced "sharla-main", Certain family members sometimes refer to her as "Char"

Gender: female

Species: European hedgehog

Ability Type: speed

Hair/fur: American Rose red with a soft dusting of French Rose Pink in her hair

Eyes: Dark blue

Height: 3'6'

Weight: 74

Birthplace: The Hart Household which is situated on edge of the Worthington's main estate

Alignment: good

Affiliations: The fabulously wealthy Worthington Family

Occupation: body guard through involuntary servitude

Romantic interests: None

Rivals: She's always considered Valentine and Rosieal her training competition

Relatives: Aside from her parents, there are a few siblings of which she is the oldest daughter and Rosieal is the oldest son--they are both the same age, several sets of aunts and uncles, and a mutitude of cousins of varying ages. Valentine is one of her slightly younger cousins. Carmine is her great grand uncle. Maroon is her grandfather.

Likes: Holidays with her family, tea parties with Miss Lilianna and her friends, riding through the country side on horse back

Dislikes: "Princess" Lyzette and the awful way she treats her cousin, rude people, bullies and hypocrites

Favorite Food/Drink: lemon tea cake/ rose hips tea

Hobbies: sword training, though she is no longer able to train with Valentine and Rosieal like she used to, reading, tending Lilianna's personal garden

Skills/Talents: Specially trained in fighting and sword fighting, Her style is very offense oriented calling for her to strike aggressively and take on ready-to-attack stances. It is a high energy burning style so if a battle plays out too long she will begin to loose stamina.

Special Items/Weapons: A personalized sword--a Japanese katana, given to her by her Great Grand Uncle and swordsmanship and fighting teacher, Carmin Hart. Maybe not quite suited for the Western hemisphere but that's what happens when you let five year old pick out her own sword. It was embrued with a little bit of Chaos energy making it capabale of deflecting and even reflecting "magic" strikes and creating barriers to protect its weilder.

She also owns a high end cell phone which she uses to keep in contact with her other family members. She often uses it to check up on Valentine and Rosieal

Weaknesses: She is more tempramental, making her short tempered at times and has to fight herself to keep in control.

Personality: She is quite devoted and loyal much like Valentine, but her loyalty is not born out of sense of duty like his but instead forged from the geniune bonds of friendship. Much like her brother, she is also a bit impatient with over aged immature, but unlike him, she has a harder time holding her cool. She is an excellent big sister to those younger than her. She is normally kind and understanding, though there are times when her temper can burn through her patience and she struggles to keep in control especially at times when that anger feels quite justified. She is initially seems to be more easy going than her brother is, but tends to be more outwardly emotional.

Background Story:

As a member of the Hart family, Charlamagne was groomed into a servant for the Worthingtons. She and her oldest brother were trained as a body guards, and thus were trained in fighting. She was to be a body guard for The Worthington's youngest daugher, Miss Lilianna. Lilianna was a bit younger, but Charlamagne had grown up amoung younger brothers and sisters and so knew a few things about being with younger people. Upon their first meeting, little Lilianna was a little weary of the new stranger, having been treated rather poorly by her older sister. But Charlamagne easily put her fears to rest. They had actually met a few times before, but still did not know each other well enough for Lilanna to put her childhood shyness aside. But in no time at all, the two became very close.

Just as Valentine did, Charlamagne and Rosieal would make regular appearances at the Worthignton birthday parties until she was old enough to start filling in her role as a body guard. She was assigned to her role at age thirteen, making Lilianna about nine years old at the time. Both Valentine and Lyzette would have been about eleven. And her brother Rosieal is the same age she was, but he was seperated first since he was asigned to the First born, and therefore oldest of the Worthington children.

Charlamagne was especially close to Valentine. But When Rosieal had to leave to fullfill his role, Valentine helped her get used to the idea of Rosieal not being around anymore, but that time didn't last since she would soon be leaving to do the same, leaving Valentine to continue training without them until he too reached the age of thirteen.

Having seen how terrible the older Hieress was, it was easy for Charlamagne to feel sorry for little Lilianna. She did her best to be a good friend to her, not simply out of a sense of duty, but because Lilianna was genuinely a sweet child craving an older sibling's love. Charlamagne also felt badly for Valentine and the terrible situation he was in, but since being seperated from him to serve Miss Lilianna, there was little she could do; with Lyzette wanting to set out and travel like her brother Elijah, Charlamagne knew Valentine would be leaving the manor soon, and so they would no longer be ble to see each other regularly. But Mistress Lilianna was kind enough to gift her with a new cellphone so she could at least send messages to her younger cousin and brother. She didn't have to worry about Rosieal--he was quite capable and though his master, Elijah Boone, was an obnoxious and selfish jerk, ending up with Lyzette was a worse fate for Valentine.

Before moving into the Worthington Manor, Charlamagne grew up in her own family's home which was situated at the edge of the Worthington's property. She was close to most of her cousins since the whole family was close nit. Valentine was like a little brother to her rather than a cousin, which he appreciated, having been a single child in his family. As they grew up aware of their future roles, the two often trained together along side her brother, and even got competative at times. There was a few other, but they had different teachers, so it was a treat to see these other young bodyguards in training and test their skills on each other. Their competition between Rosieal, Valentine, and Charlamagne drove them to keep improving until the day Rosieal had to leave to fullfil his role. Later Charlamange followed suit.

She hated to leave Valentine behind knowing that Lyzette was going to put him through hell. She even tried to convince him to run away, but he insisted on seeing things through. And so it seems like their paths were set. Charlamagne still sees her cousins when the Worthigntons host large family parties, and that's usually when she has a chance to check up on Valentine. Since her other brothers and sisters were training to be regular domestic servants, she doesn't really have to worry over them, and since Lilianna still lives at her parents home and is not out traveling like her older brother and sister, Charlamagne is the only body guard who gets to see her family on a fairly regular basis.

Charlamagne is grateful for the fact that her life and relationships are fairly easy. but she often worries about little cousin Valentine. Maybe if Lyzette just kept her bratty tantrums down to a minimun, things might be a little different, but Charlamagne is very aware of her capacity for mild violence, but even mild violence is unacceptable--but at least Lyzette knows enough not to have her worst spoiled tantrums during the Worthington family gatherings. Even though Charlamagne was trained to serve the Worthingtons, her justifiable temper threatens to flare out when she even sees Lyzette. She actually relies alot on Miss Lilianna to keep her calm, otherwise this body guard might do something regretable because there is a part of her that really wants to beat the holy snot out of Lyzette--the girl is a terrible bully and a brat and she doesn't deserve squat other than a righteuos beating. But as a well trained bodyguard and servant, Charlamagne knows she is not supposed to act on impulse like that--technically, she's not even supposed to think things like that because it messes with the master-servant order.

Charlamagne and Miss Lilianna became very close and just about consider each other sisters by now. Charlamagne is older and can provide practical advice in many situations. She accompanies Miss Lilianna everywhere she goes, and is dutifully protective. As Miss Lilianna grew older, she gained a certain understanding for the things going on around her which is why she studies so hard. Charlamagne understands how important Miss Lilianna's studies are, but she feels bad that the poor girl is often so busy getting ready for her adult life to the point where she is not enjoying her teen years much, so Charlamagne often tries to encourage her to take weekends off and have some fun. Both look forward to summer vacation--Lilianna is unaware that Charlamange has planned out a long list if fun events and has even invited Lilanna's friends. She is going to make this the best summer ever even if it kills her. You know someone really cares for you when they go put of their way to plan an entire summer of fun and relaxing just for you.

Then one day during a tea break, Miss Lilianna promised Charlamagne that when the family businesses were handed over to her, she intended to call in the Hart Family's debt as repaid in full. Charlamagne was so happy! She promised to stay by Lilianna's side and protect her from her older sister's wrath (though secretly she hopes for an opportunity to beat on the mean teen queen). This ment that Valentine could be free from his bad situation in five more years time. It seems like too long a time to wait, but there seems to be no other legit way.

Charlamagne spends a lot of time thinking about her poor little cousin, sometimes even scheming up strange ways to get him away from the Worthington Heiress such as hiring kidnappers, but ultimately she understands that his sence of family pride might keep him bound to Lyzette's side no matter what she thinks of--that and she worries actually attmepting to take such extreme measures like that will potentially backfire in all sorts of terrible ways. Her best plan so far was to have Miss Lilianna engage in a high states bet, winner keeps the loser's boduguard. But that would mean putting Lilianna up against her sister in a way that Lyzette would surely loose. Although Charlamagne loves her cousin like a brother, she loves Lilianna like a sister too. She understands that Lilianna is a good person struggling to understand why her sister seems to hate her so. She works very hard to maintain a certain amount of peace and asking her to intentionally piss off her vile older sister seems like asking for far too much.

While Lilianna continues her business studies, Charlamagne secretly plots to figure out a way to get Valentine out of harm's way without making Miss Lilianna part of the equation. She feels she is just a few more thoughts away from finding a solution but just can't seem to quite get a grasp on any plausible ideas. There just has to be a way; Valentine is very likealy to get badly hurt before five years time since Lyzette is liable to put him into a dangerous situation with her utter selfishness and her short sightedness. If any thing ever happens to her little cousin because of Lyzette, there'll be fiery hell to pay and even Lilianna's treasured friendship might not be able to stop it. At one point, Charlamagne was determined to seperate the two even if she had to do something drastic. But she eventually calmed down a bit, though her disdain for Lyzette is an ever smoldering presence.

Eventually Rosieal caught on to Charlamange and figured out something that might help her to relax a little more about the situation between Lyzette and Valentine and that was just to call in and check on him everyday--Lilianna was kind enough to give them cellphones, so why not use them? The idea was simple and it did help Charlamagne relax just a little more, but she still wanted to seperate the two and still thought about implausible ways to do it. Rosieal understood her worry, but her scheming was...troubling. He finally called Valentine to explain that Charlamagne worries too much about him and wants him to come home. He explained to Valentine that he should try to assure her that he is fine and capable, unhappy perhaps but not hurt or in danger in any way, and that perhaps that would help Charlamagne lessen her worries.

Charlamagne will always have the protective big sister complex--that's just who she is, even if she does promise to stop the scheming, which in all fairness, she hasn't actually done anything more than think about it. And she is a good person, so it's not surprising that she sometimes questions herself for wishing ill fortune and even harm on Lyzette--that's not what good people do, and it's even worse that Lyzette's little sister is like her best friend, So of course, she can't tell Lilianna about these angrier, darker feelings. It all makes Charlamagne wonder about the why of it all, and sometimes she wonders about her own integrity. She is just never going to like that spoiled little bitch, no matter what she does or doesn't do, and she hates the way she treats her little cousin. It's all so frustrating!

Yet despite it all, all Charlamagne can really do is what she came her for, and that was work as Lilianna's bodyguard and hopefully come to terms with her own feelings. Her friendship with her is precious and that makes the situation all the more strange. Someday Charlamagne will figure it out. Hopefully someday soon. The best thing for the time being is to focus on the posititves.

Due to some strange happenings involving her great grand uncle, Lilianna's grandfather, Charles Worthington, started issuing Charlamagne regular sizable paychecks for her services, althought she was still not allowed to leave her position. Charlamagne wasn't sure what was going on other than her great grand uncle had a hand in it. Still a paycheck--even a big one--hardly seemed fair considering how many, many Hart members worked for free for the Worthingtons for decades; a check for one didn't really seem like fair compensation. She eventually decided to send the money to her family since all her needs were met anyway and Lilianna treated her very well and payed for extra shares of things without a second thought. Lilianna is aware that Charlamagne's family is actually poor and so maybe this could help them climb back up in due time. Of course, they wouldn't be poor if the Worthingtons just paid them like they should have been. Lilianan, unlike her siblings is very fond of the Harts, in a loving and genuine way. She sends cards and gifts--expensives gifts!--and visits and spends time with them when she can--she really is a wonderful person, which makes Charlamagne feel even guiltier for the nasty feelings she was about Lyzette and Elijah. If all the Worthingtons were like Liliana, this master servant relationship might not seem so bad....Of course, Liliana cannot remember much now, but she vaguely remembers being raised more by the Hart family than by her own family.

There are still plenty of times when Charlamagne doubts herself, but for having consideration for others instead of herself, she actually is a good person. And maybe in time, she will realize that. She holds breath for that time when her family will be free to choose their own fate in this world. And when that time comes, she'll still be by Miss Lilanna's side.
